Magic in the streets of Santiago

Video You raise me up in the streets of Santiago

all she asks is listeners
in the old town evening
sounds vie
with what moves most
history's shadow
day that cannot end
or she
budding woman

Sharing the poem 'One with the river of life'

One with the river of life

One day you get to know the difference
between holding a hand and meeting a soul
Then you learn that love doesn’t mean: to lean on
that friendship doesn’t mean: safety
You begin to accept your defeats
with your head up high and your eyes open
You learn to trust today
by flowing along with a greater being
And eventually you even learn that too much sunshine
burns you
Then it is time to plant your own garden
and to take care of your own soul
Then you don’t wait any longer for miracles from outside
because you got to know your own beauty

Sometimes you have to let love go
despite all the pain
so that your soul can fly higher
Sometimes you have to let love glow
because in the surrendering
you serve your higher self
and the higher self of the other

One with the river of life

Poem written by Wia, a Dutch woman,  and translated and brought  to you by Simon Wijma, Viloria de Rioja 17.09.12
A very special evening on the Camino, in a very special albergue... http://refugioacacioorietta.blogspot.com

There is such a beautiful movie about Acacio and Orietta, the two lovely albergue-owners who are very dedicated to the Camino spirit. See for yourself:

It is a gift if you can stay in their albergue for a night
